day 2 - continued

We just got back from the Lion King. Punk had the aisle seat and positively beamed when Zazu flew right over his head, the giant elephant brushed by his seat, and one freakinshly wild-eyed hyena, stuck his face right up in Punk's and said "BOO!" Punk was in heaven! Kooka loved it too, but it wasn't until the second act that she was on the edge of her seat. After a whole act, of flying birds, giraffes on stilts, and dancing warthogs, the thing that made the girl actually look at me and say, "oooooh - did you see that?!", was when two "plants" did a gorgeous pas-de-duex, with lifts, 180ยบ aerabesques and a quadruple pirouette. THAT is what the child gasped over - the three minute ballet dance. (Admiittedly the gasps got louder as the duo was lifted into the air and continued to dance while they were flying . . . )

Punk said it was the second best day of his life - right after Disney World.

Totally worth the price of admission - and a five hour road trip.

Tomorrow morning we leave Appleton and head for our next clue . . .

We're not sure if we have internet access at our next stop, so we'll post more when we get a chance.

I'm glad the four of you had a great time at the show.

The dance steps I know include "the lawnmower", "YMCA" and "Tequila". Maybe by associating with you, I'll become a little more refined.

I would have enjoyed watching Punk's facial expressions as much as I would have enjoyed the show. I'm glad it was so fun for you, Punk.

Enjoy the adventure....
